SEEBURG HDLM 8 Firmware Updates
Version 3.5.5 (FPGA-Build 20171121, 2020-05-13)
Changes
- Fixes a medium memory leak that could happen per-client connected
- Fix alarm card support
Version 3.5.4 (FPGA-Build 20171121, 2019-10-16)
Changes
- Fixes plopping spike when powering off than can occur with Dante option installed
Version 3.5.3 (FPGA-Build 20171120, 2019-07-09)
Changes
- Improves stability on poor WLAN connections
- Alarm card option support restored
- The loudspeaker database will be transmitted to the client upon request - this speeds up client handshake but could break loudspeaker listing in previous GoHDLM app versions
Previous Relese Notes
Version 3.5.0/3.5.1 (FPGA-Build 20171116, 2019-03-28)
Changes
- Improves Import/Export functions to be more reliable. Please note that while importing or exporting is executed, the connection to all clients will be frozen for a few seconds. This leads to "Connecting..." or "not connected" states and can be safely ignored.
- Improves EQ frequency plot rendering on the display. Sometimes at low frequencies, the frequency plot did not exactly reflect the current settings. Signal processing however was not affected.
- Allow configuring of link-local IP addresses (169.254.x.x). This address range is usually used by auto-IP/zeroconf. There wasn't a real reason to disallow them.
- This update is also available in a version that can be loaded into the legacy Mk I and Mk II models.
Additional changes that affect Mk I and Mk II hardware
- Finally got rid of any Flash dependencies: the Webapp is now entirely based on native HTML5 (a.k.a. WebSockets).
- Backported Linux bugfix that can corrupt the internal file system on firmware updates.
- Underlying source code is now exactly at the same level for all hardware revisions.
Version 3.4.2 (FPGA-Build 20171112, 2019-03-18)
Changes
- New function: network switch configuration per port (Normal/Audio/Control). This enables separating Dante and HDLM control networks.
- Webapp: fix drag & drop with loudspeaker library -> output map dragging
- Webapp: several improvements for touch display operation
- Minor bugfixes
Version 3.4.0 (FPGA-Build 20171112, 2018-06-08)
Changes
- Finally got rid of any Flash dependencies: the Webapp is now entirely based on native HTML5 (a.k.a. WebSockets)
- Functionality unchanged
Version 3.3.3 (FPGA-Build 20171112, 2017-12-19)
Changes
- Fixed occasional noise on analog outputs.
- Software unchanged
Version 3.3.2 (FPGA-Build 20171109, 2017-12-13)
Changes
- Disabled internal debug logs to speed up the overall system performance.
- Software unchanged
Version 3.3.1 (FPGA-Build 20171109, 2017-11-22)
Changes
- Added filter to drop multicast packets at switch level. This does not slow down the HDLM CPU anymore. Only relevant on media stream intensive networks.
- Software unchanged
Version 3.3.0.1 (FPGA-Build 20171094, 2017-08-17)
Changes
- Dante-option only: fixed a race-condition in the reset sequence when powering on. Issue: the Dante Controller could sometimes not detect the HDLM.
- Software unchanged
Download for Mk III hardware
Firmware Update for HDLM 8 Mk III (do not rename!): HDLM8_Mk3_Firmware_3_5_5.bin (~8 MByte)
This is the stable production release version for Mk III hardware only.
Projects, Loudspeakers and System Settings will not be touched by the Firmware Update.
Mk III hardware has a redundant firmware and will boot a rescue system on any update failure.
Download for Mk I and Mk II hardware
Firmware Update for HDLM 8 Mk I and Mk II (do not rename!): HDLM8_Firmware_3_5_3.bin (~8 MByte)
Projects, Loudspeakers and System Settings will not be touched by the Firmware Update.
Disclaimer: Mk I and Mk II hardware have not a redundant firmware and need to be send back to the manfacturer on any update failure. Don't do any updates before important shows.
